Manchester City defender Pablo Zabaleta is in talks over a £2.5million move to Roma.
The Argentine is a big favourite at City but is concerned about an increased lack of playing time.
Zabaleta, 31, has one year left on his current contract at City but could leave the club before his deal is due to expire.
City insist they are yet to receive a formal offer from the Italian giants.
He made just 13 Premier League appearances as he found games hard to come by under former City manager Manuel Pellegrini.
Bacary Sagna won his battle with Zabaleta to become City's first choice right back at the Etihad Stadium and Pep Guardiola is unlikely to revert to the Argentine.
Zabaleta has won two Premier League titles, two League Cups and a FA Cup winner's medal during his eight-year spell in the blue half of Manchester.
