Juventus and France international superstar Paul Pogba is reportedly in advanced talks with Champions League winners Real Madrid over a potential £60m deal, The Sun reports.
But the deal for the 23-year-old, who has been heavily linked with a sensational return to Manchester United, has hit a snagging point due to Pogba's agent, Mino Raiola, demanding Real Madrid's offer of £135,000 per week to be increased to a reported figure of £200,000.
The former United midfielder has been earmarked by Los Blancos president Florentino Perez as a potential 'Galactico' this summer, but reports are suggesting Perez will be faced with stiff competition from his former manager, Jose Mourinho.
Since his arrival at Old Trafford, Mourinho has reportedly targeted Pogba as a priority signing to compete for the Premier League title again.
The 53-year-old is said to have had a substantial amount given to him in regards to a transfer budget and would be willing to spend a substantial amount on a marquee player.
But it is understood that France's talisman would prefer a move to La Liga with Champions League football a must for the 23-year-old with his career development in mind.
But Real Madrid manager and Frenchman, Zinedine Zidane has remained cautious over the possibility of signing a "great talent".
“Everyone wants Pogba because he is a great talent," he said before adding caution to his words. "But he is a Juventus player.”
Though Pogba's club career may be unclear, he and his France international teammates have made a good start in their bid to become Euro 2016 champions with a hard-fought 2-1 win over Romania and will face Albania this coming Tuesday.
