i am sure by now we all know who mayorkun is but for those who don’t, Mayorkun is one of the newly signed artistes under Davido’s new record label DMW (Davido Music Worldwide).
After Davido parted ways with his former record label HKN gang due to unknown and untold reasons, he decided to create something new after just signing a contract deal with SONY MUSIC WORLDWIDE.
He went ahead to sign two new artistes, Mayorkun ( a singer) and Dremo (a rapper). In less than a month of these contracts, Mayorkun came out with a smashing hit like none other which struck the industry like a lightening to 1 million views on youtube in less than a week. Yes one million!!! and as of today is currently reading over 2 million views and still counting.
This unmatchable Eleko Hit song upturned the entire Nigerian music industry because no one has ever done something that close not even Davido, the Record label superstar boss. The ‘Ori iyami eleko’ rhyming song has within weeks of release topped charts across african music channels, radio stations and broken boundaries on local tv channels thats clearly giving the new fast rising star an untouchable flavor.
Proud father, Davido flew his new school boys to Dubai to shoot new music videos for their next singles last weekend. Gists coming from very reliable source is that Davido is splashing so much money on these boys to raise Nigerian & African music bar to a different level.
